Hello, I am originally from the US, but have been living in Austria for several years with my partner. Back home, I earned a degree in English and in Education. Then I moved to Slovakia where I worked as an English teacher to local students at a bilingual school, primarily teaching ages 7 - 16. I have been working small nannying jobs for many years now, and since I am no longer looking to work in a school for health reasons, I thought nannying regularly would be a great option for me. As a native English speaker with an educational background, I can help with language exposure through both “passive” activities (eg. conversation) and “active” activities (eg. reading together). I have a great time working with kids, and love encouraging their curiosity. I also used to teach a few art lessons every week, and find creative projects to be a great way to bond with children. For me, nannying on a regular schedule would mean working for you at least once a week and continuing to help out to some degree during both the summer school break and during the school year. Please feel free to write me, and I will respond if I think our needs align.
